If the distribution is from from an IRA then please make sure that IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is checked when you enter your 1099-R:
- Login to your TurboTax Account
- Click on the Search box on the top and type “1099-R”
- Click on “Jump to 1099-R” and click "edit" next to the 1099-R
- Verify that the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is checked
