Hello TurboTax
I unfortunately triggered AMT this year. Reading online, I should be able to carry forward any AMT I payed this year as credit to regular tax liabilities in the future years. After filling out everything, Line 26 on form 8801 does not show a carry forward balance for 2019. Form 6251 however does show the AMT liability.
Please advise? Am I misunderstanding how the AMT carry forward works?
