Thank you for the reply. But TurboTax Deluxe CD/download on the Mac has ALWAYS been over-ridable in the past. Both on Schedule 1 (2018 and 2019) and prior to that when that line item was on Form 1040 (2017 and earlier). 10+ years I have overridden TurboTax errors ... and yes there are errors in the software. I know the tax code, my CPA knows the tax code and being locked into what TurboTax forms do sometimes is not correct - hence the need to override.
Anyone know how to do an override?
