Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Also received similar email.  In lieu of calling the number in the email, I logged directly into Intuits website and found a different number, called it, and spoke to a very helpful individual who determined that someone has indeed attempted to file a tax return with my information.  We have a case in process.  I'll have to mail in a paper copy of my return this year.  Two comments:  (1) I don't know if the number in the original email is legit, the Intuit person did call it when we were on the line together and then we were sidetracked and never circled back around to its accuracy and (2) after logging into Intuits website I was plunking around and found reference to recent Sign ins to my account AND the exact wording used in that original email (You're using a different TurboTax account this year.  It's important that you contact us right away).  The recent sign in was from my computer 10 minutes earlier, so their system clearly worked to identify me.  And it also showed a message about the different account submittal, but from an Unknown Device, Unknown Browser and Unknown Location, with a time that was 2 hours earlier than my log in.  This is when I was still sleeping so it obviously wasn't me.  You can go to this same location as follows after logging in:  click on "Sign in & Security", and then click on "Account Activity (Check in on your latest account activity)".   If Intuit resources are reading this, I do have a recommendation:  When I first logged in this morning there was no reference to any potential issues.  In my opinion, there should be a big flashing note that I have to click "OK or Cancel" suggesting that I call a specific number to verify the validity of the supposed tax return submittal, vs. having it hidden in the area noted above.
