Hi, I just got a job in Georgia and I currently have a house in Illinois. I plan on making a contract with a coworker to rent a room. Am I able to work in one state and rent a home and still have a home in illinois? How does this all work when it comes to filing taxes. I would be a secondary on the lease for a home in Georgia?
