Washington does not have any state income taxes for individuals and as such, there are no filing requirements there.
Therefore, if you lived and worked in Washington for the entire year, you will only have to file a federal income tax return.
States without income tax for individuals
In regards to your return stating you have filed an extension for 2020, please log into TurboTax.
- Go to the Federal interview section located in the black panel on the left
- Select Other Tax Situations
- Scroll down to Other Tax Forms and select File an Extension
- The next page will be titled Need More Time to File Your Return. Select No thanks here. This should remove your extension on the 2020 income tax return.
