Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If your daughter only made $1000 in income (or less )with no withholding,  there is no benefit or requirement for her to file.  You also would not put her INCOME on your return. 

Your daughter probably qualifies as your dependent this year.  As such you might benefit from claiming her education costs( less any scholarships etc) on your tax return.  Did she receive a Form 1098-T from her school?  Attached is a link to IRS pub 970 which contains information about education benefits and credits available, and how to claim them
