First, be sure that you are 'inside' your tax return and not on the first screen that comes up when you log into TurboTax Online. Then, try the following steps to get to the unemployment 1099-G section:
- On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
- This opens a box where you can type in “unemployment” and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
- The search results will give you an option to “Jump to unemployment”
- Click on the blue “Jump to unemployment” link
Using the '1099-G' search term may take you to a different section since Form 1099-G can be used to report more than just unemployment.
