Can't Get Maryland Exclusion
Joint return
My wife and I are Maryland residents since 7/1/2020 so partial year return.
We are both 61 years old.
She receives a teacher's pension from New York State.
She is totally disabled.
Turbotax never asks if she is disabled.
Turbotax never offers or discusses the Maryland Pension Exclusion.
It seems like we should eligible for it per this Maryland website:
https://www.marylandtaxes.gov/individual/income/filing/pension-exclusion.php
Yes: She is less than 65 years old BUT she is totally disabled and so is eligible.
The New York State teacher's pension is reported by a 1099-R that was entered by hand into my federal return - so Maryland's return should have access to all of that information.
