That is correct- Box 7 on the 1099-MISC is for sales of $5,000 or more of consumer products to a person on a buy-sell, deposit-commission, or other commission basis for resale (by the buyer or any other person) anywhere other than in a permanent retail establishment. The 1099-NEC is the Nonemployee Compensation which is the old Box 7.
