But when program started again it wanted to do an update. Looked as if it was working, green bar advanced about halfway and then just went to program. But when I tried I still couldn't enter 1099-R so I imagine it failed. Not sure what to try now.
After installing the manual update, close the program interface and restart your computer.
If no success after that, then if you are using the Windows version, see if a repair of TurboTax helps.
