Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Thank you, Mike9241.

While everything that you said is true, my question has more to do with how to report these donated mutual fund shares on Form 8283 using TurboTax.

In particular, while I found a drop-down menu option for "stocks" and related stock-related options (e.g., average share price) in TurboTax's Charitable Contributions section, I have not been able to find a "mutual fund" option.

  • Should I select "stocks" in TurboTax to report these mutual funds?
  • Or is there another way for reporting mutual funds as charitable contributions in TurboTax?

Thanks again.
