My question really pertains to allowing Direct Deposit from my refund. It appears that even though I am going to receive a Refund in 2020, because I live in another Country now on Visa (Thailand), and the US Government does not allow Direct Deposit to Foreign addresses for IRS Refunds. Living abroad the US does not allow me to use a US address even though I am a US Citizen living abroad. Could it be Direct Deposited to Charles Schwab, a US based firm? If not, this means even more delays, starting with a check will need to be sent after results are available in Feb. It can take 6 months to receive in the mail here and then 90 days to Cash if you actually do receive one. Will a Check even be valid after this amount of time? Also, the US does not allow me to have a US Bank Account or Credit Cards due to the Patriot Act without a US address. This means that I can not even pay for Turbo Tax unless someone else pays for it for me. Also, just as last year, Turbo Tax can not e File it for me (which you find out after you pay) so I have to mail it causing even further delays. There must be a better way.....
