My husband is a realtor and a bartender. Last year he made very little at the bar, and owes taxes on all his real estate sales. I work a standard 9-5 job and make about 70k. Would it be better to file jointly or separately? We know he will end up paying, but will it be less if he doesn't have my income in his return?
