Ok I tried that. It didn't help. However, under the option to amend (change) the 2017 return, it says:
How to amend your 2017 return
Download your .tax file
(You'll need to purchase TurboTax Deluxe online or higher editions in order to download your .tax file. Learn more)
- Then download TurboTax Desktop 2017 for Windows or for Mac
- Finally, open your .tax file using TurboTax Desktop 2017, and amend your return. Learn more
At the time I used turbotax online free because I was eligible for it. I do have the returns I did in pdf format though. So I'll just print hard copies of those and mail them in. Apparently it's too late to e-file for that year, something I was unaware of before. Thanks for trying to help.
