Had my Federal and State returns finally accepted after ripping my hair out for 3 days in a row. I was already gearing up to file via snail mail when in a last-ditch effort I changed my 2018 AGI to"0" and resubmitted both returns. The Federal return was accepted immediately within a minute with the state "Pending" which I assume is normal.
I should probably also mention that the IRS lady I spoke to this morning put the blame squarely on Intuit. I can only assume that Intuit would have returned the favor by blaming the IRS.
Why is this half baked software being sold to the public is beyond me. I had to call Intuit support twice just to get my "included free state" manually downloaded and installed while the built-in updater claimed everything is "up to date". The techy on the phone was well aware of this problem.
Seriously? On the tax filing deadline day, this serious bug has not yet been dealt with?
What about your paying customers who purchase your software, Intuit, in order to reduce the amount of time it takes to file traditionally and in a user-friendly environment? Sadly, you have achieved neither.
