Apparently, with a little online research. Turbotax has been doing this for the last 3 years. I did not have to file a DC tax return. Turbotax (the so-called tax experts) told me I had to. Additionally, TurboTax knows about the missing return because it's been happening for the last 3 years to people who work in DC and live elsewhere using TurboTax. I want a refund for my unnecessary DC tax forms. I did not "have to" file DC forms like TurboTax said.
