To better clarify,
My mother has not yet filed her taxes nor have I for 2019. I want to know if I already have received the stimulus check using the non-filer tool on IRS, would she be able to claim me on her 2019 taxes ? I understand that dependents( over 17) cannot receive a stimulus check for $1,200.
What is the best thing to do at this point?
Can I return the stimulus check and therefore let her claim me as a dependent for 2019.
