Major Trouble Connecting to VANGUARD

It was MOST frustrating trying to download all that data and info from Vanguard!  Any and All Vanguard account choices kept getting an "error" - could not connect with Vanguard. Problem with server, etc. etc. - Solution ?? Disable Anti-Virus programs...reboot modems...unplug Routers...It was a Major Pain in the Butt! Whether it was the CD version or the download from Intuit version, it STILL DID NOT WORK!! I finally uninstalled Turbo Tax Deluxe and reinstalled it...changed my passwords at Vanguard at least 3X and the only thing that worked was by finally accepting to use the Intuit on-line version which stated, "You don't have to pay until the tax are completed and filed!" - Well, I had already Paid money for the CD-Rom, so I didn't want to pay "again!" - What I did was started my return with the Intuit On-line version - THAT FINALLY CONNECTED to VANGUARD and gathered the info / data I so badly needed. So after that was done, I saved the file and exited the program before I completed the return. Re-installed my CD and the picked up from where I left off! And Thank You Jesus, the Vanguard data was now inside my return and I contined along with my CD-Rom version and did not have to Pay twice! - So I ask.....Why did TurboTax - Deluxe have connection problems to Vanguard??  Why did I have to try numerous different ways to get things to work? I never had this problem in the past. One other thing that was a pain in the ass - TurboTax would Not automatically download / transfer my Home Loan Mortgage interest and property taxes!! ShellPoint Mortgage Services did NOT have an auto connection with Turbo Tax?!? Turbo Tax seemed like they lost quality control this year! I was not happy with the automation process. Very frustrated, but I got it done!
