I do not receive any SSI, because I taught in Ct. for 28 years!! I had to pay into Teachers Retirement until the law was changed in the 70s. I had 2 children in college by then and couldn't give up any money! WE STILL HAD TO PAY OUR RETIREMENT. MY HUSBAND HAD SSI. , PASSED AWAY FROM STAGE 4 CANCER IN 3 ORGANS, AND I"M TOLD I CAN'T GET HIS SSI!
