Absolutely the same issue is happening to me, very frustrating.
I bought Turbo Tax CD and loaded it to my Windows 10 Machine - in Jan. 2020. It worked fine and I finished 80% of my return. I went to finalize my return in June, started Turbo Tax 2019 and it began an updated.
No problem I thought - usually does this....
However after this update, it asked for an activation code - so I re-entered the activation code. got this error code 630.
- Called Turbo Tax support - spoke to an extremely friendly, person, who could not help, she went through a bunch of trial and error items, uninstall, reinstall, update your windows software, here is a new activation code, same error everytime... over 3 hours on the phone no help. She then said she was ending her shift and would call me back - never did.
- Put in another call, no help no response.
I was the biggest fan of Turbo Tax and Intuit - even have my Mortgage with Quicken Loans. I have turned from the biggest fan to an adversary over a 1 week period. I am trapped, with have my stuff done, and no help from a formally great company, to a useless company... with no issue to their big problems.
The customer support told me to use my Apple product instead... I PAID for and wanted this on my Windows Computer. I even have Turbo Tax 2018 on this computer that works fine... The customer support response, was well that is because 2019 was the first year for the activation codes.. well good grief... if you can't get it to work... revert back as opposed to losing a customer.
I will tell everyone I know for the rest of my life - to avoid Turbo Tax, Intuit, and any other associated company... if you cannot take care of your customers, get out of business.
