No. A parent isn't required to enter any of a child's information, unless he or she is claiming the child. The IRS never allows two unmarried parents, who lived together all year, to claim benefits for the same child. As much, two parents are never allowed to both receive earned income credit.
The father would only include the child, if he was the custodial parent and gave you permission to claim the child. Then, the two of you would have needed to be divorced, separated, or living apart the last six months of the year.
