HI.. so all I can offer is my own understanding from whats gon on with my refund. I have still not received a federal tax return refund for the social security issued to me, 40yrs ago,LOL. I haven't yet received my state returns either. The upside- I got my stimulus, considering my income-I didnt have to file, I made less than 5000$. But I wanted to file, its a personal thing. So Ive called its - too many times- they could likely got me on harassment by phone at this point. I went ahead and tried to enter my info. into the wheres my refund for the Irs site. I needed three things- My social, my bday, the amount expected of my refund(to the dollar exactly per my listed refund on my 1040. If you didn't know that much- no luck finding help with that tool. I couldn't recall, to save my life, if there was a tax prep site Id used without realizing Id sent it in also. I found one I had tried to use- and the amount listed as my expected rerun based on the site Karma Tax-I forgot I even checked this site- had a total refund expected amount that worked...i know right...I then used the info to retry to tool to see where the refund was. It says it will be delivered to deposited to the account listed on the tax return 1040 thats been received. GREAT! LOL Now Im playing a game of chance- I can wait and see if I managed to outsmart my self- and it is my account thats getting this refund- if it ever comes-lol or Ill be late to report that its an imposter and not me! IDK whats going to happen, I expected the stimulus I got to be higher-1200 but I also have kids that qualify for the additional stimulus amounts, 2kids. 1kid is too old at 18since this April. LOL I cant win for losing!!! I say keep trying and hope, like i do, the its phones will be our saving grace, when the IRS can communicate finally based off the system info they have for each individual return - right now I cant ask for help from an automated system...it wont help me. Ill keep trying and ill update this if there any new additional updates on my own situation. Good luck and god be with us all- or maybe we can all make sure we help each other!! Also try contacting your local state taxes office. They have been incredibly kind trying to figure out anything they can to help- no they haven't helped,lol, but they have made me feel less freaked put about things and gave me a bit of relief that this can resolve no matter what- if I didn't get it, there a record of that with the irs- I will be issued my refund no matter who got fraudulently or not at all- I just have to wait and watch and keep things rolling thru the its when they resume operations again like they normally have.
