To sum it all up ... this stimulus program was pieced together in just 2 weeks during a pandemic & an active tax season and the IRS is trying their best to do it right with a reduced staff ... sadly it will be a bumpy ride for some folks and all you can do is hang on until the ride is over. Folks who file injured spouse forms are used to these long waits and this year it is worse due to the virus ... all you can do is wait for the IRS to complete your tax return and process the injured spouse form in due time ... it will all come out in the wash so to speak.
