@madhavi2676 - so far so good! That is what needs to be checked! Suggest waiting for that IRS letter and follow their instructions.
@Angel82 -- child tax credit has to be checked to get the $500 per child..... those are the "qualifying dependents" under the CARES act
I've seen some posts where the problem is that a question on the tax return was answered incorrectly resulting in 'other dependent' being marked, which would result in no $500. The most common situation is a child born in 2019. TT instructs you to mark that child as living with you for 12 months and regardless of when the child was born during the year. Some marked only the number of months from birth to year end - and that is a problem!
