Get your taxes done using TurboTax

If you do not live at home, and your parents do not provide more than half of your support, then the cannot claim you so the next time you file, you want to be sure to not check that box.

In all likelihood, an economic impact payment advance is not going to be sent to you immediately, since you indicated that you can be claimed as a dependent.  I realize that may not be welcome news, but there is not likely much that you can do to fix it- at least not timely.

You can try to file an amended tax return but these have to be sent by mail and they are not currently being processed.  It is not yet know if, upon processing, payments would be released.

The payment is technically an advance of a credit that is reconciled on your 2020 tax return. So, if you are eligible and yours doesn't arrive before you file your 2020 tax return, you will be able to claim it then.
