So apparently my parents claimed me as dependent even though I haven't lived with them for 6 years and they no longer financially support me. On the IRS website I filed my return through the 1040 form in the Non-Filer section, and I left the "someone can claim you as a dependent" box unchecked. My return was then accepted by IRS but they still apparently "haven't determined my eligibility for the payment" and I've also been getting the "payment status not available" message. It's already been 8 days since the IRS accepted my return, and I just want to know if I have any chance of getting my stimulus payment.
