My concern is that if the check is mailed to the incorrect address, any follow-up mail will be as well. They seem to have absolutely no structures in place to account for the fact that people might have moved since early 2019. Which is why I really wish there was a way to double-check which address they have on file for me, but they didn't seem to feel a need to account for that, either.
I'm also really hoping it doesn't come down to me trying to wrangle my $1,200 from a bank I don't patronize halfway across the country. My secondhand experience is that banks are notoriously difficult to deal with in any situation where they might be at fault. And if it comes down to any kind of legal preceding, the costs of even an inexpensive lawyer would blow right through the $1,200.
