Ok so, after checking around best I can tell is that somewhere along the line, Turbo Tax screwed up.
If the IRS says they do not have your information, you WILL have to put it in because TT did not properly pass on everyone's info best I can tell. And after asking around, checking forums, browsing comments on the FB page, best I can tell this is affecting a wide variety of people regardless of how you received your refund, or whether you paid TT any fees. It has affected people who paid for the service, people who did their taxes free, people who got the TT card, and people who did direct deposit through their bank. All have reported being affected and needing to give the IRS correct information. The only constant is people who got advances will for sure need to correct it, while everyone else has a chance of needing to.
Check your status on the IRS portal. If it says they don't have your info, TT screwed up and you will need to give it to them.
