Get your taxes done using TurboTax
The state of Texas has no personal income tax system. It is one of the (7) states out of (50) that do not tax personal income of any kind. Therefore, you never have to worry about filing a Texas state tax return if you live and work in Texas, or you live out-of-state and work temporarily in Texas. A Texas state personal return simply does not exist, and therefore there are no "additional fees" or charges on your Texas income.
This will also be true if you are asking about Texas and TurboTax software.
Since such a personal income tax does not exist in the state, TurboTax will never charge you a fee for any Texas state-level tax program or tax issues. Thus, if you're a TurboTax Free federal program user in Texas, there is no extra charge for completing your state tax return . . . because there is no such thing in Texas (along with Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming).
