if you are married on 12/31/2019 your choices are married joint or married separate. if you lived apart from your wife for the last 6 months of 2019 you can file as head of household if you can claim a dependent and kept up a home where you lived with the child for more than 6 months of 2019.
HOH will result in higher taxes than filing joint.
