If you checked you are a dependent on your return then the IRS will see you as a dependent and they will not issue a stimulus payment to you. You can file an amended return to correct your status as a dependent, however the IRS is currently closed and the amended return will not be worked until they come back. I do not know at this time if the IRS will go back at a future date to verify if Stimulus payments have been sent to those with a processed amended return. The information released so far does not address this type of situation.
