You are correct. Unfortunately, the original answer provided by TurboTax in this thread is only for the Online version. Someone marked it as a solution so it appears first.
Scroll up and see the long detailed answer I left recently (Sunday, 3/29/2020) about how to remove it in desktop software. The method depends on whether one is in California (which has an unusual method) or a non-California state.
