If your son was or is your dependent, your stimulus check would include $500 for him provided you qualify for the stimulus.
If he was not your dependent, he would file a 2019 income tax return. Go to TurboTax.com, select a product and enter his information.
The following individuals are not eligible to receive a recovery rebate:
- Any individual who was claimed or could have been claimed as a dependent on another individual's 2019 income tax return.
- Any qualifying child who has not been reported on a 2018 or 2019 tax return with a social security number.
