Get your taxes done using TurboTax

You probably have other taxes besides the ordinary income tax on your income.  Do you have a Schedule 2 in your tax return?   Schedule 2 shows other taxes you may be subject to such as Self-Employment tax, Alternative Minimum tax, Unreported SS and Medicare tax, etc.    On your Form 1040, you will see these additional taxes on lines 12b and 15.

The 2019 tax table shows total tax for Married Filing Jointly returns with a taxable income of $107,930 to be $15,462 (your taxable income * .22 - $8283).   Any amounts above the $15,462 are for something else besides ordinary income.   On your 1040, verify the amount on Line 12a.  It should be $15,462 unless one of the boxes (1-3) on Line 12a is checked.
