Thanks everyone for the advice and encouragement. After trying a few things I gave up after the fifth failure, printed the return and dropped it in the mail today. First time I've had to do that in quite a few years. I had no problem with my own federal and local returns, only my mom's return. At least for now, taxes are DONE! 🙂
