If I sold NQSO this year and its included with my W2 - do I still need to fill out 1099B?
I have a W2 with a box 12 (v) that shows the income from my stock options. My 1099B has almost no information in it on how to file it.
Do I need to file the 1099B?
If so:
Can I include the US Federal Tax in the 1099B?
I read that I would use the value from W2 box 12(v) as the actual cost basis. However there is a difference between net proceeds and the amount on 12(v) because it doesn't seem to include the taxes that were withheld. (It just shows net-basis). Do I need to manually account for that difference somewhere?
Thanks!
