Understandable but I haven't been to school since 2016 and I'm 23 going on 24 this year.
My mom doesn't file taxes so she couldn't claim me if she did and I definitely pay my share of the bills. But because I'm related to her I'm still a dependent? Even though I've been working without school for four years?
