Hey, if I put down on my taxes that I can be "claimed as a dependent" but I haven't been claimed, and couldn't because my mom doesnt work am I still a dependent?

I pay my own bills and rent, I just wanted to know because the stimulus package isnt qualified for dependents but I don't depend on anyone except myself.

I just put down that I can be claimed because my high school teacher told me that we're dependents until we're 25 and I didn't want to do it wrong.
