Get your taxes done using TurboTax
You need to enter the health insurance premium information from your 1095-A in the Medical/Affordable Care Act (1095-A) section of TurboTax first and delete the other entries.
This information will be used in Form 8962 to determine any adjustment needed in the premium tax credit you received.
Since you're self-employed, you are also permitted to deduct your portion of the health insurance premiums (total premium minus the premium tax credit.
TurboTax will compute this amount and enter this deduction on Schedule 1, Line 16, and carry it to Line 8a, Form 1040.
After you have entered the 1095-A be sure to continue the rest of the way through that section as the self-employment question is on the page after you have reviewed your 1095-a entries.
