efiling fees
My parent's 2019 taxes covered two states. I did their taxes using Turbo Tax. I submitted all 3 (1 fed and 2 states) as efiles at the same time, paying the additional $24.99 per state to do so. The Fed return was rejected for bad AGI from last year. The AGI is correct. I have the form from last year, plus TT automatically entered it from last year. The AGI is fine but the feds don't like it. I tried tweaking the answers and numbers several times and the fed still doesn't like it - so I am going to mail it. The states won't take the efile because the fed was rejected, so I'll have to mail those in as well. Which means, the $49.98 I spent on efiling them is no good. I would like that refunded. The answers I found here regarding that give only a few examples were refunds of the efiling fees to states are returned. THis isn't one of them. If this is truly not allowed by Turbo Tax, you should put a warning in the software dialog to advise people to hold off efiling the states until the Fed is accepted. This is VERY Deceiving!!
