You can continue with the amendment, the interview questions should ask you for which year the 1099R was issued.
Be sure to include in your explanation for amending your return, the correct years/dates of the contributions and 1099R's and why you are amending. Be specific.
Please note that your amended return will need to be printed and mailed, as IRS does not accept e-filed amended returns.
