Can Subscriber to QuickBooks Self-Employed & TurboTax File Late Schedule C from Previous Tax Year?
Hi,
I have subscribed to the QuickBooks Self-Employed/TurboTax combination package for more than a year. Last year at tax time I did all the accounting in QuickBooks for 2018 and finished my Schedule C, but never imported it to TurboTax and filed for 2018.
To be honest, I was completely broke and afraid to do so. I am a fulltime caregiver for an elderly parent and haven't been able to work outside the home. My online income hovers around, or below, the poverty line (I believe I only owe self-employment taxes). I know I should have filed quarterly, but my mother gets the minimum from social security as her only income, so my income has been used to try and keep us both from being evicted and the utilities shut-off. We don't waste money on luxuries, I'm simply a coward who's been putting my head in the sand.
That said, I have paid for the QBSE/TB subscription each month and I was hoping there was some way to go back and file my 2018 taxes finally. I still don't have the money to pay them and, yes, I do realize I'll incur penalties and interest, but I just want to get them filed.
Does anyone here know of a way for a QBSE/TB subscriber to file a previous year's taxes without having to pay TurboTax yet more money for filing? I honestly can't afford $120 on top of the $17-$26 I've already paid each month since 2018.
My thanks to anyone who might have an answer!
