Federal Tax form the Tax Table
A Federal tax return I am preparing in Turbo Tax has taxable income of $23,779 for a married filing jointly couple.
The tax from the tax table is $2,465 but the tax pulled to the form 1040-SR shows 2,357
Please check this out and let me know if I'm looking at something incorrectly.
Also, I am preparing a Massachusetts Resident tax return for this same couple. On the Massachusetts Interest Income Worksheet, it properly shows the US Gov't Interest that totals $3,577. But the amount that pulled to the Form 1, Schedule B line 1 is $3,667. I don't know where the extra $90 is coming from.
Please advise.
Thank you,
Al Bolton
