Report the 1099-MISC as a self employment expense.
- Log in to your account.
- Go to Federal Taxes.
- Go to Income and Expenses.
- Go to Self-employment income and expenses.
- Select Review next to your line of work.
- Scroll down and select Add expense for this work.
- Scroll down and select Contract Labor.
