TT did correct this programming error 3/6/20 however this will not help all the people who filed prior to this date ... too little too late. I mentioned several times in December when the program first came out this was an issue ... too bad it took them 3 months to correct a fatal flaw.
Of course all the users must take a bit of the blame on themselves especially the ones who had the form in hand and knew they had to enter it ... we have been telling folks on this forum how to enter it since the forms were first put out in January ... so all a user had to do is post the question and they would have gotten an answer so they would not be in the mess they are in now.
Also I think that if the IRS can stop and reject a return for a missing form 5405 then they can program the system to reject a missing 1095-A ... sadly the IRS is understaffed and using old systems so until Congress increases the budget of the money making portion of the government system we will have to deal with what we have.
