Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Just to be clear on a few points:
- You said you filed in January but it was rejected. Right? Since your 2019 return was rejected, you're not amending it in the sense of filing a 1040X, you are just changing it for an original filing.
- Is the 1095-A you have for 2019?
- Forget the 1095B -- you don't have to enter it in your return,
The IRS is not going to be happy without a copy of the 1095-A, and the 8962. And if the IRS isn't happy.... 🙂 Try your best to enter the 1095-A in your return. All the info is on the form. To enter the form please follow these steps:
- On the Deductions & Credits screen, scroll to the Medical section.
- Click the Start/Revisit box next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).
- If you have already started entering the 1095-A, you will see Here's what we have for your 1095-As.
- Click Edit next to the form.
-
If you haven't started, continue to the entry screen for the 1095-A.
-
On the screen, Let us know if these situations apply to you, leave the boxes blank and click Continue.
Since you are reconciling the Premium Tax Credit with the entry of the 1095-A, and the 8962, you might as well claim all of the kids.
