woodward-apart — Those were good suggestions on a workaround. Did you have to make any overrides to Form 6251? After following your steps for 2019, my Form 6251 shows that I owe AMT because the deferral is not recognized. (I haven’t been able to find out whether opportunity zones deferrals are supposed to be supported by AMT in the first place, though.)
