My sons dad is claiming my son this year.. but turbo tax still asked for his social do i use his social still or not? does that mean i will claim him?

my sons dad is claiming my son this year and turbo tax said he does not qualify as my dependent.. but said they will still give me some money for being his parent was i supposed to still add his social security? my claim was 4000 when im not even claiming him this year! HELP??
