After reporting foreign income, the software asks if my spouse is a U.S. citizen and then if my spouse was a US resident alien while working outside the U.S. the software has a nite saying that a nonresident spouse of a citizen living abroad can elect to be treated as a resident. Then the software asks if my spouse is a US resident alien or if not one, and doesn't mention about being treated as one.
My spouse isn't actually a resident alien, but I am electing to be treated as such, so I am not sure how to answer this yes or no question.
